What the job involves
- Deliver individualised care to patients with sexual health needs, including HIV and contraception
- Provide STI testing, treatment and prevention
- Provide HIV care alongside consultants
- Provide contraception services including LARC, emergency contraception and pregnancy testing
- Give sexual health advice and refer for termination of pregnancy
- Deliver face-to-face and telephone clinic appointments
- Work flexibly within a multidisciplinary team alongside medical colleagues
- Help meet local and national service targets
- Work some evenings and possible weekends on a rotational basis
- Work on rotation at weekly outreach clinics in Tiverton
- Travel for training and to outreach clinics
- Complete training competencies to progress from Band 5 to Band 6
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse qualification (essential for Band 5 applicants)
