The Principal Trainer sits in the Administrative Applications team at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and works within the One Devon Implementation Team, which covers three acute trusts in Devon. The post supports the shared electronic patient record being rolled out with Epic by designing and delivering training packages for staff. The postholder can be based at any of the four sites, with travel as required and occasional evening and weekend work around upgrades. Shortlisting includes a Sphinx test to assess suitability for the role.
What the job involves
- Design and deliver training packages for the One Devon EPR to support clinical transformation
- Work with clinical, operational and admin colleagues across the three acute trusts in the One Devon Implementation Team
- Help ensure Epic is implemented in a clinically and financially sustainable way across Devon
- Teach adult learners to use technology safely and confidently
- Travel to sites across Devon as required
- Work occasional evenings and weekends, particularly around upgrades
