A combined role in the support team at East Worlington Primary School, pairing 1:1 teaching assistant work with a mealtime assistant post on a temporary basis. The core of the work is supporting a Reception pupil with additional needs, then supervising that pupil at lunch. Hours are split across the school day over four days, with scope to move to five. Enhanced DBS and right to work are required, and visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Support a Reception pupil with additional needs on a 1:1 basis
- Support the development of that pupil's individual needs
- Supervise and support the pupil during the lunch break
- Use positive behaviour management strategies
