Nuffield Health's Glasgow Hospital is recruiting a bank porter, a maintenance post sitting alongside its housekeeping team. The work covers waste and laundry collection, grounds upkeep, room setups, courier runs and moving medical devices between sites in the Central Belt. Hours are ad hoc, with rotating early and late shifts and weekend cover when needed. Candidates need a full UK driving licence and must accept Disclosure Scotland checks.
What the job involves
- Collecting and disposing of waste, laundry and clinical waste in line with hospital procedures
- Maintaining hospital grounds and outdoor areas
- Cleaning and preparing designated areas
- Delivering and collecting medical devices across the Central Belt of Scotland
- Providing courier services and transporting specimens when required
- Setting up conference rooms and supporting office moves
- Supporting the housekeeping team with key operational tasks
- Carrying out parking patrols as directed
- Assisting with stock management
- Following data protection, health and safety and security policies at all times
Experience
- Flexible and proactive approach to work
- Enjoys working in a customer-facing environment
- Able to manage own workload effectively
- Takes ownership and responsibility for tasks
Checks & eligibility
