Enabling Support Worker post in Shaftesbury's adult disability services, supporting one woman to live well at home and in the community. The work follows her personalised support plan and covers household tasks, meal planning, shopping, medical appointments and arranging local activities, with some personal care, medication and record keeping. The role is 2:1 and runs across day shifts and waking nights, with optional paid sleep-in shifts. Only female candidates are being considered, and visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Support her to live at home and in the community, promoting her independence and safety
- Follow her lead and personalised support plan
- Keep her home tidy and comfortable
- Plan and cook meals in line with SALT plans
- Go on shopping trips
- Accompany her to medical appointments
- Plan local activities and social connections
- Keep accurate records
- Help with personal care or medication when needed
- Work day shifts (8am to 8pm) and waking night shifts (8pm to 8am) on a 2:1 basis
- Cover sleep-in shifts, paid £60 per session
