This full-time Enabling Support Worker post sits within Shaftesbury North East, an Independent Living service covering homecare, community activities and day services. The role centres on encouraging people to take part in daily life, guided by each person's own support plan, and keeping accurate records at work. Support ranges from an hour or two to round-the-clock care for people aged from late teens to older adults, and the post includes sleep-in cover. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
What the job involves
- Provide support and encouragement, taking direction from the person supported and their person-centred support plan
- Maintain accurate records while at work, in line with service requirements
- Administer personal care and medication when required
- Cover sleep-in sessions, paid an additional £60 per sleep-in
