An ENT Consultant post in the Consultant-Led Community ENT Clinic at Gravesham Community Hospital, run by Omnes Healthcare. The consultant manages outpatient ENT care for routine conditions, including children, working autonomously in a community setting. Full-time or part-time hours are offered, with the wider service expanding to other Kent localities and the post holder leading a multidisciplinary team. Full GMC registration with a licence to practise is required.
What the job involves
- Manage all routine ENT conditions, including paediatric patients, independently in a community clinic
- Provide safe, high-quality outpatient ENT services in line with clinical best practice and governance standards
- Work with the ENT Lead and report to the Service Manager (Operations) to manage all aspects of the ENT service to agreed objectives
- Contribute to developing and optimising patient pathways to improve access, outcomes and patient experience
- Drive best practice in performance management and financial sustainability
- Identify savings, introduce innovative ways of working and improve service delivery
- Lead, motivate and support the multidisciplinary team to achieve high standards and efficiency
Qualifications
- Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD)
Registration & licences
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
Experience
- Ability to manage all routine ENT conditions independently within a community clinic setting
- Experience of service development, pathway optimisation and improving operational efficiency
Skills & knowledge
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously while maintaining high clinical and professional standards
- Strong understanding of clinical governance, patient safety and quality improvement
- Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and service management
- Commitment to cost-effective care, innovation and continuous service improvement
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills
Nice to have
