Cora Health's Mid and South Essex persistent pain service is recruiting a Senior Pain Clinician to assess patients, agree goals and plan treatment for chronic pain. The core of the work is comprehensive assessment and diagnosis, delivering and reviewing individual treatment programmes, and keeping GPs informed of ongoing and flare-up plans. The post is hybrid, with face-to-face clinics across several sites, pain management programmes delivered in person and online, and pain education within a multidisciplinary team using a biopsychosocial model.
What the job involves
- Carry out comprehensive assessment and diagnosis of patients with physical and emotional needs
- Formulate, deliver, review and progress individual treatment programmes
- Plan, manage and review functional and psychological restoration for individuals and groups
- Review care plans at timely intervals
- Communicate with patients' GPs about ongoing and flare-up management plans agreed with the patient
- Ensure effective treatment, specialist advice and timely discharge
- Deliver face-to-face clinics across several sites
- Deliver Pain Management Programmes face to face and online
- Provide pain education
- Provide safe, effective and dignified care in line with best practice and national guidelines
- Work within a multidisciplinary team using a biopsychosocial model of care

Nice to have
- BSc in physiotherapy or a nursing degree
- Pain management experience in a community setting
