Exam invigilator post at Lea Valley Academy, covering the school's examination periods. The work is supervising students during their exams and enforcing JCQ regulations and internal procedures, from room set-up and paper distribution through to collection. The post is part time and seasonal, running across the November, March and summer exam series from late 2026 to July 2027, so candidates must commit to the whole season. Enhanced DBS and right to work in the UK are required, and visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Enforce school policies and procedures throughout the examination process
- Monitor and observe students closely during exams
- Help set up the examination room
- Distribute exam papers
- Check attendance throughout the exam
- Guide students to their seats according to the seating plan
- Supervise students leaving the room quietly
- Deal with queries raised by students
- Collect exam papers at the end of the exam
- Stay alert to the ways foul play can take place
