The bank enabling support worker post sits within Shaftesbury South East's Martello Road service, which supports adults with intellectual and physical disabilities to live as independently as possible. The work centres on encouragement and day-to-day support, guided by each person's person-centred support plan, with accurate records kept on shift and personal care and medication sometimes administered. Shifts cover shared houses with communal space and customers' own homes, with sleep-in sessions available. Enhanced DBS or Access NI clearance is required, and visa sponsorship is not offered.
What the job involves
- Provide support and encouragement, taking direction from the person supported and their person-centred support plan
- Maintain accurate records while at work, in line with service requirements
- Administer personal care and medication when required
- Cover sleep-in sessions when offered
