Housekeeper post in the Facilities Team at Avon House, part of the Tewkesbury Locality within Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust. The six-month fixed-term role keeps inpatient areas clean and hygienic to the national cleanliness specification, and includes preparing and serving patient meals and drinks. Hours are 15 a week, Monday to Friday, in a team covering services from 7am to 8pm, seven days a week. Good verbal and written communication is essential, and visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness to the National Specification of Cleanliness
- Prepare and present patient meals and beverages on inpatient areas following food hygiene procedures
- Help maintain a safe, clean and relaxing environment for patients
- Work as a member of the Estates & Facilities Team across all areas of the site, with a flexible attitude to meet service needs

Skills & knowledge
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Nice to have
- Food hygiene certificate
- Cleaning or catering qualification
- Previous experience of cleaning and/or catering duties
- Experience in customer service
- Knowledge and understanding of COSHH
