A porter post in the Theatre Portering team at the Lister Hospital, one of the sites run by East and North Hertfordshire Teaching NHS Trust. The work centres on moving patients by bed, wheelchair and trolley, changing medical gases, collecting blood products and taking specimens to pathology. The theatre department runs around the clock every day of the year, so the job needs flexibility in shift times. Hospital experience is welcome but not required, as full training is provided.
What the job involves
- Move patients by bed, wheelchair and trolley

- Work in line with rules and working practices
- Take part in required training and apply skills and knowledge in practice

Qualifications
- English and Maths to GCSE level
- Willingness to undertake training as required
