East Cowes Full-Time On-site
T

Prison officer post at HMP Whitemoor, a high-security prison run by the Ministry of Justice, recruited on a merit list rather than against a fixed vacancy. The work centres on keeping order and building professional relationships with prisoners, moving between roles such as peacekeeper, counsellor and teacher across the day. Shifts cover evenings, nights, weekends and public holidays, and the post can be worked full-time or part-time. Fit depends on passing a counter-terrorism check, which needs proof of three years' UK residence immediately before applying, and visa sponsorship is unlikely.
