What the job involves
- Undertake patient care in hospital, including diagnostic tests and post-operative care
- Administer medicines in line with NMC guidance on safe handling
- Admit and discharge patients on theatre days
- Support and mentor colleagues and new staff
- Maintain stock control, keeping par levels realistic and items available
- Protect patient confidentiality under the Data Protection Act and GDPR
