This Data Scientist and Research Officer post sits in the Technical & Experimental team at the University of Surrey, supporting an InnovateUK-funded project with Aviasenze, the Pirbright Institute and Hay Farms. The work covers data collection, analysis and reporting for several stakeholders, plus some software development. The project uses acoustic monitoring to give early warning of ill health in poultry flocks; the role is hybrid with significant on-site presence, and can be full or part time. Experience of data governance and avian data is essential.
