What the job involves
- Carry out all cleaning duties in line with worksheet instructions
- Keep cleanliness and laundry to the required standard across the home
- Operate to the standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry
- Maintain hotel service standards
- Work as part of a team to maintain housekeeping standards
- Understand the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings
- Know the properties of cleaning materials and use them correctly
- Keep all areas well presented and in good condition
- Treat residents with dignity and respect, including their personal space and belongings
What’s required
Experience
- Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting
Skills & knowledge
- Knowledge of health and safety, particularly moving and handling, fire safety and COSHH assessments
- Compassion and commitment to high-quality housekeeping and laundry service
- Adaptable and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice
