This freelance supply role sits within North Wales Outdoor Education Service at Conwy County Borough Council, covering occasional cover at its two residential centres, Nant BH and Pentrellyncymer. The work is delivering outdoor activities on courses at either centre, drawn on only when a course needs extra staff. It is a supply pool arrangement rather than a set post, so the work is taken up as courses require. Fit depends on holding a range of NGB awards, being able to drive a minibus with trailer, and registering with EWC before starting.
What the job involves
- Deliver outdoor education courses across Nant BH and Pentrellyncymer Centres
- Deliver the full range of activities offered at the centres to keep courses safe
- Provide cover as supply pool instructor when courses need additional staff
Qualifications
- A range of NGB awards

- EWC registration before starting the post
Skills & knowledge
- Good understanding of, and commitment to, outdoor education within lifelong learning
Checks & eligibility
- Disclosure and Barring Service check
