Care assistant post in the reablement service of ECL (Essex Cares), helping adults to regain independence at home. The work covers personal care, mobility and meal preparation, with no prior experience needed and full training provided. This is full-time, around 30 hours on early, late or split shifts with every other weekend, and needs own car and full licence. Visa sponsorship is not available through direct application, so applicants must already hold the right to work in the UK.
What the job involves
- Help customers relearn personal care, mobility and preparing meals
- Support customers to regain independence and keep living in their own homes
- Travel between customer visits across Colchester, Mersea and surrounding areas
- Work alongside a mentor on customer visits until confident in the role
