Bank Healthcare Assistant role joining Elysium Healthcare's staff bank, with shifts at Asher House, a learning disability and autism service. Work centres on supporting men with learning disabilities, autism and sensory and communication impairments, including complex needs and behaviours that challenge services. Shifts are on a zero hours basis across a 24/7 service, with weekday, night and weekend work booked through an app and no minimum hours. Experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker is needed, and all candidates must pass a DBS check.
What the job involves
- Supporting men with learning disabilities, autism and sensory and communication impairments to lead valued, fulfilled lives
- Working bank shifts on weekdays, nights and weekends at Asher House
- Working 12.5 hour standard shifts in a 24/7 service
- Booking shifts through the Elysium app
- Caring for people with complex needs and behaviours that challenge services
- Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of service users
- Completing mandatory training
- Possible future bank shifts at other Elysium services in the region
Experience
- Experience as a Healthcare Assistant, Support Worker or Care Worker
- Healthcare experience from the NHS or private sector
