A Cleaner in Charge post in the Facilities Team at Vertas Group, based at Kirklington Primary. The role supervises cleaning colleagues on site, allocates daily duties and monitors performance, alongside hands‑on cleaning of toilets, classrooms and communal areas. It is an early shift of 12.5 hours a week, 06:00 to 08:30 on weekdays, worked 44 weeks a year. Previous cleaning experience is essential and the right to work in the UK is required.
What the job involves
- Supervising and supporting cleaning colleagues on site
- Allocating daily cleaning duties and monitoring performance
- Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained
- Completing quality checks and maintaining cleaning records
- Cleaning toilets and washrooms
- General cleaning across classrooms and communal areas
- Wiping down tables and surfaces
- Vacuuming and mopping floors
- Reporting issues, defects or hazards promptly
- Following health and safety procedures at all times
Experience
- Previous cleaning experience
- Experience in a similar cleaning setting
