This post sits within the Estates, Facilities & Capital Development Team at East London NHS Foundation Trust, which holds the PFI and LIFT contracts. The work centres on contract compliance, lifecycle and asset obligations, commercial and operational risk, and planning the handback and transfer of assets when contracts expire. The postholder advises senior stakeholders, external advisers and service providers on contract and commercial matters. Entry requires a degree or equivalent in estates, surveying, engineering, property or construction, plus Master's level education or equivalent experience.
What the job involves
- Lead the strategic management, governance, performance and expiry of the PFI and LIFT contracts
- Lead handback planning, lifecycle oversight, compliance monitoring and expiry programmes
- Ensure contractual compliance across the PFI and LIFT arrangements
- Oversee lifecycle and asset management obligations
- Manage commercial and operational risks
- Lead preparations for contract handback and asset transfer
- Provide expert contract management and commercial advice to senior stakeholders, external advisers and service providers
- Protect the Trust's contractual, operational, financial and estate interests and secure value for money
What’s required
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent professional qualification in estates management, building surveying, engineering, property management or construction
Experience
- Evidence of ongoing continuing professional development
- Educated to Master's level or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Chartered membership of a relevant professional body (MRICS, MCIOB, IWFM, CEng or equivalent)
- PRINCE2, MSP or APM qualification
- Contract management qualification
- PFI/PPP contract management training
