What the job involves
- Supervise pupils in the dining hall and playgrounds to keep lunchtimes safe and enjoyable
- Oversee pupil conduct inside and outside the school building
- Promote and enforce school rules on games, health and safety
- Assist pupils in dining and play areas
- Provide a variety of games and activities, demonstrating new ones
- Handle minor incidents and disputes, referring serious ones to the Senior Lunchtime Coordinator, SLT or nominated supervisor
- Administer first aid as required and complete relevant training such as basic first aid
- Clean up spillages and debris in dining and play areas
- Follow child protection, health, safety, security and confidentiality policies and report concerns
- Support diversity and equal opportunities for all
- Contribute to the school's ethos and aims and support other professionals
- Attend meetings and take part in training and performance development
