The community caseload midwife post sits in the continuity teams at St Thomas', part of Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The role provides total midwifery care for a named caseload through pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period, combining clinics, home visits and intrapartum care.
Two working models are offered: a set shift pattern with planned long intrapartum shifts, or on-call cover for home and hospital births. Registration as a midwife (NMC) and car driving are essential.
