InHealth Group is recruiting a bank cardiac physiologist to join its echo team, covering its London clinics on a full-time basis. The work centres on performing and independently reporting adult transthoracic echocardiograms, with equipment checks, study archiving and urgent referrals. The bank role moves between clinic sites, but the post-holder stays at a single clinic for each full day. Applicants need BSE accreditation in echocardiography or an equivalent.
What the job involves
- Perform and independently report adult transthoracic echocardiograms to BSE minimum dataset and InHealth Echotech guidelines
- Submit reports and archive study images in line with contract and local SOPs
- Ensure echo equipment is maintained and quality checked
- Liaise with GPs and hospital departments for urgent clinical referrals
- Support patient scheduling and keep patient system records accurate
- Support the daily audit
- Give help and guidance to junior team members
- Escalate reporting delays immediately to line manager and clinical lead
- Comply with local health and safety rules, including emergency procedures, and corporate policies including information governance
- Protect patient confidentiality, dignity and safety, and make sure patients understand clinical and reporting processes
- Keep up with clinical developments and take part in training to extend clinical skills
- Support the administration needs of senior management
Qualifications
- BSE or equivalent accredited cardiac physiologist specialising in echocardiography
Experience
- Experienced in adult echocardiography
