This maternity leave cover post is a registered nurse role at Chertsey Parklands Care Home, run by Avery Healthcare Group. The nurse acts as person in charge, standing in for the manager, and handles medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and chronic conditions while supervising care staff. Shifts run from 7am to 7:30pm. Applicants need a First Level qualification, current NMC registration and at least two years' experience, and must pass a DBS check and prove their right to work.
What the job involves
- Act as person in charge, standing in for the Manager when required
- Carry out nursing tasks including medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic conditions
- Deploy and supervise care staff so that all tasks are completed and residents receive required care
- Provide high standards of care through accurate assessment and care planning
- Advise families and GPs of changes in residents' condition and keep them involved in choices for ongoing care

Experience
- Minimum 2 years' experience with up to date knowledge of care
Skills & knowledge
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to instruct staff and demonstrate care activities
