Chelmsford City Council is recruiting a Marketing Manager to lead sport and leisure marketing across its four leisure centres, covering health, fitness and sport. The role covers annual marketing plans, budgets and integrated campaigns aimed at income, membership and participation targets. It carries line management of two Marketing Officers and a Marketing Assistant, with work split between the Civic Centre and the leisure sites plus some evening and weekend cover. What the job involves
- Develop and deliver annual marketing plans and channel strategies
- Manage marketing budgets
- Oversee integrated campaigns that meet income, membership and participation targets
- Use customer insight, sales data and market trends to identify opportunities and improve results
- Work closely with the leisure management team
- Manage paid and organic marketing across digital screens, social media, website, email and app
- Lead promotion of health and fitness membership offers and Get In! holiday activities
- Line manage two Marketing Officers and a Marketing Assistant
- Work between the Civic Centre and the four leisure centres as required
- Work some evenings and weekends for planned events
Experience
- Substantial experience planning and delivering successful campaigns
- Proven track record of measurable results against ambitious targets
- Managing multiple projects at the same time
