A reablement care assistant post with Essex Cares, helping customers in their own homes regain skills such as personal care, mobility and meal preparation. No prior experience is needed, as full training is given and a mentor accompanies new starters until they are confident. The community-based role needs a car and full driving licence, with 16 to 36 hour contracts covering early and late shifts and every other weekend. Visa sponsorship is not available for direct applications.
What the job involves
- Help customers regain independence in their own homes through reablement
- Support clients to relearn personal care skills
- Support clients to relearn mobility skills
- Support clients to relearn meal preparation
- Travel between client visits across Mid Essex using own car
- Work assigned early and late shifts, including every other weekend
- Complete induction training and shadow a mentor on customer visits until confident
