The Laurus Trust's IT services team is recruiting a Senior IT Technician, listed under Cheadle Hulme High School. The post runs the day-to-day IT helpdesk, giving second-line support, coordinating IT technicians and taking part in infrastructure and service improvement projects. It covers 17 schools, sixth forms and an alternative provision, serving more than 10,000 users in a fast-paced setting. What the job involves
- Manage the day-to-day running of the IT helpdesk
- Provide high-quality second-line support
- Support the Trust IT Manager in delivering an efficient, reliable and customer-focused IT service
- Lead by example and coordinate the work of IT technicians
- Contribute to infrastructure, systems and service improvement projects
- Take responsibility for the daily administration and operation of the IT department, working closely with the IT Managers
Qualifications
- GCSE Maths and English at grade A* to C, or equivalent
Experience
- Direct experience in an IT support or helpdesk role
Skills & knowledge
- Proficiency in MS Office, Adobe CC and other relevant IT packages
