A part-time CBT and integrative psychotherapy post at Priory Hospital Hayes Grove, a residential mental health and addiction rehabilitation hospital. The work is delivering therapy to adults with common and complex mental health needs, running groups and building patients' treatment plans. Hours are 22.5, with 60% clinical time, and the post needs weekday, evening or weekend cover within a multidisciplinary team. Accreditation with BABCP, BACP or UKCP is required, or BACP accreditation within 6-12 months on a lower band.
What the job involves
- Deliver evidence-based CBT and integrative therapy to adults with common and complex mental health presentations
- Carry out comprehensive assessments, formulate treatment plans and keep accurate clinical records
- Manage a caseload, offering short-term and longer-term therapy according to need
- Facilitate psycho-educational and relapse prevention groups
- Work within a multidisciplinary team on risk management, case reviews and service development
- Assist staff with assessing and implementing individual patient care plans
- Carry out delegated tasks that support patient wellbeing, dignity and treatment
- Take part in regular clinical supervision and continuing professional development
What’s required
Qualifications
- Recognised therapeutic qualification, minimum Level 5 Diploma
Registration & licences
- Full professional registration and accreditation with BABCP, BACP or UKCP
- Or working towards BACP accreditation within 6-12 months, on £16,686-£21,630 until achieved
Experience
- At least three years post-qualification experience working with adults in mental health settings
Skills & knowledge
- Confidence delivering CBT
- Strong communication skills
- Collaborative approach to working with others
- Engagement in supervision and service development
Checks & eligibility
- Successful DBS, Access NI or Disclosure Scotland check at an appropriate level
Other
- Able to meet a requirement of 60% clinical hours
- Open to working weekdays, evenings or weekends
Nice to have
- Training in an additional specialist modality such as EMDR or DBT
