Catering Assistant on a fixed-term contract at Badby Park, Elysium Healthcare's specialist neurological rehabilitation and complex care service. The role supports the kitchen team under the Head Chef, preparing and cooking meals, serving food and keeping stores and cleaning up to hygiene standards. It is a part-time post of 32.5 hours a week in a manor house setting, with regular contact with residents beyond the kitchen. Applicants need experience of a similar role and knowledge of COSHH and HACCP.
What the job involves
- Assist with preparing and cooking meals in line with company policies and procedures
- Serve food and beverages to service users, staff and visitors
- Maintain storage procedures and stock rotation
- Clean all areas, equipment and furniture and store them correctly
- Ensure the kitchen and associated areas meet operational hygiene standards
- Liaise with the wider team, including dietitians, on dietary and planned meals
- Assist with deliveries
