Two 15-hour Care and Support Worker posts at Springfields, an extra care housing scheme in Ashby-de-la-Zouch run by EMH Care & Support. The work centres on person-centred care for residents, mainly older adults, with some working-age adults with learning disabilities, delivered in line with CQC regulations. The scheme has 65 supported living apartments in the National Forest, with staff on duty around the clock and a mix of shared ownership and rented homes. Candidates must evidence their right to work during recruitment.
What the job involves
- Provide integrated, person-centred care that meets residents' needs, aspirations and ambitions
- Deliver care in line with CQC regulations and company policies and procedures
- Promote individual rights and personal dignity for service users
- Support residents' physical, mental and emotional wellbeing
- Support older people and/or people with learning difficulties
Skills & knowledge
- Good knowledge of the needs of older people and/or people with learning difficulties or disabilities
- Understanding of health and safety issues
- Awareness of equal opportunities when supporting people with complex needs
