A permanent, full-time General Radiographer post within the imaging team at Spire Cambridge Lea Hospital. The work covers a broad range of procedures, from X-ray and CT to MRI, mammography and theatre cases, with the postholder deciding which imaging is needed and giving clinical leadership to the team. The role is distinct for its five 7.5-hour shifts across Monday to Saturday plus an on-call rota, and it suits experienced radiographers. Fit depends on HCPC registration and current UK experience, as overseas sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Deliver a high-quality, efficient radiographic service as part of a team
- Provide specialised imaging for patients and decide which diagnostic imaging is required
- Carry out general imaging including X-ray, CT, MRI, mammography, theatre cases, MSK, breast, GI, gynae, MRCP and neuro
- Give clinical leadership and educational and development input to keep imaging effective
- Be responsible for the standard of own work and that of supervised radiographers and students
- Embed clinical governance and risk management in daily practice

- Diploma or degree in radiography
Registration & licences
- HCPC registration
Experience
- Previous experience as a radiographer in an imaging department
- Experience across all general imaging, including theatres
Skills & knowledge
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a commercial environment while keeping safe standards
- Flexible approach to work and working patterns
