This Associate Primary SENDCO post sits with Romero Catholic Academy Trust and covers several of its primary schools. The work centres on leading, developing and quality-assuring SEND provision, combining Trust-wide systems and policy with casework and intervention advice. The post also inducts and coaches SENDCOs, trains staff and models practice in schools. Candidates need an enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK, as visa sponsorship is not available, and the start date is 1 January 2027.
What the job involves
- Lead, develop and quality-assure SEND provision across the Trust's primary schools
- Set up and maintain Trust-wide SEND systems, processes and policy
- Oversee Trust-wide SEND quality assurance and data
- Support leaders in delivering high-quality SEND provision
- Support with complex SEND casework
- Recommend interventions for pupils with SEND
- Induct and coach SENDCOs in schools
- Model SEND practice and train school staff
- Ensure the Trust meets its statutory SEND responsibilities
