The Panton Practice, a large GP practice with around 17,000 patients, is seeking a practice nurse to work within its clinical team. The role centres on hands‑on procedures including phlebotomy, wound care, injections and immunisations, cervical smears, ECGs and 24‑hour blood pressure fitting, carried out as directed by GPs and other clinicians. Applicants need recent practice nursing experience and adult nurse registration, with competence across the core procedures. Travel health and chronic disease experience are welcome extras.
What the job involves
- Phlebotomy
- Wound dressings and management
- Adult injections and immunisations, including Prostap and Depo-provera
- Baby immunisations
- Cervical smears and cytology
- 24‑hour blood pressure fitting
- ECGs
- Urinalysis
- Routine patient care tasks as directed by GPs and clinicians
- Chaperoning and assisting clinicians during examinations
- Requesting pathology tests such as urine culture and swabs
- Following clinical protocols and referring to GPs as needed

Qualifications

- Recent relevant experience as a practice nurse
