A fixed-term Teaching Assistant (Level 2) post in the Learning Support Team at Bottisham Village College, part of Anglian Learning, running to August 2027. The role centres on SEND support, mainly in the Reef provision for students working at a lower level of attainment and occasionally in mainstream lessons, alongside the SENCo Team and teachers. Term-time hours of 30.83 a week over 39 weeks, Monday to Friday; part-time applications are considered. Visa sponsorship is not offered, so the right to work must be held or in progress.
What the job involves
- Support students with SEND to access learning, build independence and reach their potential
- Deliver small-group and individual interventions in literacy, metacognition, emotional resilience and communication
- Support students in the Reef provision who are working at a lower level of attainment
- Support students in mainstream lessons on occasion
- Support students during lessons, form time, break and lunchtime
- Work closely with the SENCo Team and teaching staff
- Promote inclusion and the wellbeing of students
