What the job involves
- Develop schemes of work and lesson plans in line with curriculum objectives
- Build effective relationships with pupils to support their learning
- Maintain organised learning resources
- Create a positive learning environment in the classroom
- Develop pupils' social skills and wider abilities
- Assess and record pupil progress and prepare pupils for national tests
- Link new learning to pupils' earlier knowledge and challenge them to deepen understanding
