This is a Pre-School Leader post at the early years setting of St Alban's Catholic Academy, part of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Multi Academy Trust, which runs three primary schools. The role leads and manages early years education, with planning, assessment and day-to-day contact with parents and outside agencies. It involves helping to build an early years provision from its start, and leading a setting is preferred but not essential. An NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or equivalent is the minimum qualification, and visa sponsorship is not available.
What the job involves
- Lead and manage the early years education provision
- Implement policies and procedures that meet the EYFS welfare requirement
- Take part in planning, assessment, recording and reporting in line with the EYFS Statutory Framework
- Provide a safe and secure learning environment for children
- Set expectations that inspire, motivate and challenge every child
- Liaise with parents day to day on children's welfare, learning and development
- Work alongside outside agencies
- Support the Catholic ethos of the school
