Whitwell Surgery, a village-based GP practice, is recruiting a Practice Nurse to join its small, close-knit team. The post covers general practice nursing, including health checks, chronic disease management, child and adult immunisations, travel vaccinations, wound care, compression dressings and cervical screening. Working in a small team means close contact with GPs and the wider practice. Fit depends on an adult nursing registration with the NMC and training in vaccination, cervical screening and compression therapy.

Qualifications

- Excellent communication skills
- Reliable, approachable and organised
Nice to have
- Practice Nurse or general practice nursing qualification, or relevant experience
- Training or qualification in travel health and travel vaccinations
- Training in chronic disease management
- Clinical skills courses such as wound care, diabetes, respiratory disease or hypertension management
