The Inclusive Employment team at ECL runs the local authority funded LIVE Supported Employment programme, and this coordinator role sits within it. The work centres on matching people facing barriers to work with volunteering, work experience or community roles, through assessments, job coaching and partner organisations. A full driving licence and own vehicle are essential, and cover of evenings and weekends is required. Applicants who need visa sponsorship cannot apply directly, as sponsorship is handled by a third-party provider.
What the job involves
- Provide end-to-end, person-centred support to people seeking volunteering, work experience or community outcomes, matching them on skills and experience
- Complete community profile assessments
- Provide support and/or job coaching
- Work closely with organisations offering voluntary opportunities
- Create pathways for customers and deliver outcomes in line with contractual targets
- Contribute to delivery of the LIVE Supported Employment programme
What’s required
Qualifications
- Supported Employment Diploma Level 3 or Health and Social Care equivalent (holding or working towards)
Experience
- Experience delivering to an employment service or social care contract
- Experience working in a target-driven environment against KPIs
- Experience directly supporting individuals into employment or volunteering
Skills & knowledge
- Understanding of the needs of employers and of individuals with barriers to employment
- Outstanding communication skills
- Initiative and proactive problem-solving
Checks & eligibility
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
- Right to work in the UK without requiring visa sponsorship
