Essex Cares is recruiting bank care assistants for its reablement service, which supports adults to regain independence in their own homes. The work centres on helping clients relearn everyday skills such as personal care, moving around and preparing meals. Bank and casual hours cover morning, evening and weekend shifts, and new staff shadow a mentor until they feel confident. No previous experience is needed, but a full licence, a car and business insurance are required, and direct applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
What the job involves
- Help reablement clients relearn personal care, mobility and meal preparation in their own homes
- Support customers to regain independence and continue living at home
- Travel between customers across West Essex
- Work alongside a mentor until confident in the role
