Principal of Aston University Engineering Academy, a University Technical College working alongside Aston University and now part of the new Aston University STEM Education Academy Trust. The post-holder leads the day-to-day running of the Academy, its teaching and culture, and its partnerships with the university and STEM employers. The Academy specialises in engineering, digital technology, healthcare and business for young people. Visa sponsorship is not available, and the post starts in September 2027.
What the job involves
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management of the Academy, working with the Executive Principal and the Trust
- Lead the staff team
- Champion excellent teaching and learning
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and culture
- Ensure every student is supported to achieve and progress
- Strengthen partnerships with Aston University, STEM employers and industry
