What the job involves
- Supervise classes across different subjects and year groups when teachers are absent
- Communicate and oversee work set by teachers
- Create a calm, safe and purposeful classroom environment
- Keep pupils focused and motivated
- Promote positive behaviour and inclusion
- Collect completed work
- Liaise with teaching and curriculum staff
- Support small-group interventions when cover is not required
- Support pastoral duties across the school
