Registered nurse post on a haemodialysis unit run by DaVita UK, which cares for over 2,000 patients across England and Wales. The work centres on individualised, patient-focused care and on delivering dialysis treatment exactly as prescribed, with some mentoring of team members. The role is day shifts only, Monday to Saturday, and involves working with a multidisciplinary team and with hospital trusts and other external organisations. Applicants need NMC registration, an adult nursing degree and renal or dialysis experience.
What the job involves
- Provide safe haemodialysis treatment in line with patient prescription
- Deliver individualised, patient-focused care to a high standard
- Mentor and assist team members
- Work within a multidisciplinary team and with external organisations and hospital trusts
- Communicate effectively with patients, users and service providers
- Follow company procedures, guidelines and policies, and help implement and review them
- Keep developing knowledge and skills to deliver high standards of care
- Apply evidence-based practice and help evaluate evidence to improve patient care
