Care Assistant post in the reablement service at Essex Cares, a provider of home care across South East England. The work helps customers regain daily living skills such as personal care, mobility and meal preparation so they can stay independent in their own homes. It is community-based, so the post-holder travels between clients by car, with weekday evening and weekend shifts and 30-hour contracts available. No prior experience is needed as full training is provided, but applicants needing visa sponsorship cannot apply directly.
What the job involves
- Help customers in reablement relearn everyday skills such as personal care, mobility and preparing meals
- Support customers to regain independence and continue living in their own homes
- Travel between customers' homes across Billericay and the surrounding area
- Work alongside a mentor who takes you to meet customers until you are confident in the role
- Work weekday evening shifts (3.00pm to 11.00pm) and weekend day or evening shifts
