Charge Nurse at Cotswold Spa Hospital, a specialist eating disorder clinic run by Elysium Healthcare, leading the nursing team and day-to-day running of the unit. The role covers delegating nursing tasks, monitoring patients, making staffing and resource decisions, and liaising with other clinicians. The clinic treats young people aged 13 to 17 referred through CAMHS and young adults aged 18 to 25, including anorexia and bulimia. Fit depends on RMN or RNLD registration and prior experience in a similar setting.
What the job involves
- Lead and coordinate nursing care and clinical service delivery on the unit
- Oversee and provide high-quality care to women with complex mental health needs
- Ensure the day-to-day operation of the unit performs well
- Motivate, support, manage and supervise the nursing team and provide guidance
- Delegate nursing tasks to nurses and coordinate with other teams
- Monitor service users' conditions and respond to changes
- Make critical decisions on service user assignments, staff scheduling and resource allocation
- Liaise between nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
Qualifications
- A relevant nursing qualification
Registration & licences
- NMC registration as RMN or RNLD
Experience
- Previous experience in a similar environment, from NHS or private care
