Days-only Support Worker post at The Old Vicarage, a residential service run by Cygnet Health Care for adults with learning disabilities, complex needs and behaviours that may challenge. The work centres on supporting people with medical and welfare needs, alongside helping them build life skills, confidence and independence. The role is full-time at 40 hours a week, days only, including alternate weekends, and no prior health or social care experience is needed. Successful applicants must pass an enhanced DBS check.
What the job involves
- Provide enhanced care using a flexible learning approach for everyone in the service
- Give physical and emotional support, guidance and encouragement
- Learn each person's specific needs and help in the most suitable way
- Assist with medical and welfare needs
- Report on medical and welfare needs as required
- Safeguard the people in the service
- Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
