Registered Mental Health Nurse post on the inpatient mental health service run by Priory Healthcare, with wards for men and women at differing levels of acuity. The nurse is named nurse for a defined group of patients, delivering prescribed care and planning it with patients and their families. Full-time at 37.5 hours a week, on site, and working as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team. Applicants need a registered RMN with 18 months' post-registration experience and an active NMC registration, with preceptorship completed.
What the job involves
- Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework
- Act as the patient's named nurse
- Assess, plan and deliver nursing care with the patient and their carer or family, respecting patient choice and wishes
- Observe and engage with patients to assess need and evaluate progress
- Monitor and review nursing care plans
- Work as an effective member of the multidisciplinary team, promoting clients' best interests and ensuring prescribed nursing care is implemented
