This permanent People Advisor role sits in the People Team at Jigsaw Homes Group, a housing group with more than 37,500 homes. The post acts as the main People Team contact for designated business areas, giving proactive HR advice with a heavy focus on employee relations. Working across absence, performance, disciplinary, grievance and capability cases, the adviser coaches managers and balances legal compliance with commercial needs. A solid grounding in UK employment law and HR practice decides fit.
What the job involves
- Act as the primary People Team contact for designated business areas across the Group
- Deliver a proactive, customer-focused HR advisory service
- Advise managers on absence, performance, disciplinary, grievance, capability, conduct and organisational change matters
- Take ownership of a varied employee relations caseload
- Ensure Group policies, procedures and employment law are applied fairly, consistently and effectively
- Challenge, influence and coach leaders and managers to drive business change and build management capability
- Identify risk and recommend appropriate solutions
- Give pragmatic advice that balances legal compliance, commercial considerations and colleague experience
- Ensure actions align with Group policies, procedures and values
