Responsibilities
- Act as the financial administrative link between the Central Team and schools.
- Provide quality and timely information to support all schools within the Trust with financial transactions.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions in accordance with the Trust Finance Handbook.
- Report to the Business Services Team Leader and undertake the above responsibilities.
- Offer direct school support across financial systems.
- Resolve queries from schools and third parties accurately and in a timely manner.
- Raise requisitions and purchase orders across the Trust.
- Facilitate purchases on credit card and online business accounts.
- Raise items on Parent Payment online platforms across the Trust.
- Support regular reporting to schools.
- Assist school staff in using the financial system and accessing financial information.
- Investigate queries and provide appropriate scrutiny.
- Support the development and training of the Finance Apprenticeship team.
- Handle enquiries from staff, parents, customers and suppliers as appropriate.
- Liaise with all schools, including travelling to individual school sites when required.
- Carry out any other duties that are commensurate with the grading of the post.
Qualifications
- Good communication skills.
- Knowledge of office administration systems and workflows to national qualifications level 3.
- Very computer literate with strong Excel spreadsheet skills.
- A team player providing support for colleagues.
- Strong numeracy skills.
- Enthusiastic and self‑motivated, with experience in a similar role managing workload to deadlines.
- Positive attitude and willingness to be flexible.
- High level of professional conduct in all areas of work.
