The predicted salary is between 20000 - 25000 Β£ per year.
Responsibilities:
- Provide a reliable safe service to children and staff for educational visits, sporting activities, and extended school visits.
- Ensure each passenger is comfortably and securely seated, including securing wheelchairs if necessary and ensuring that all accesses are clear.
- Undertake routine maintenance on minibus (e.g., checking water, tyre pressures, oil, mirror, and window cleaning).
- Ensure that the minibus is left clean and tidy after each use.
- Ensure the minibus is adequately fuelled for each journey.
- Collect and drop off students, in particular students with SEND, at designated locations and times.
- Liaise with the Passenger Assistant to maintain a good professional relationship, including effective communication between school and home.
- Record and monitor mileage and any faults before and after every trip.
- Report any accidents/incidents to the Senior Leadership Team, complete appropriate paperwork, and produce written reports.
- Ensure the safety and welfare of staff and service users by complying with appropriate Health and Safety Regulations and employing safe working practices.
- Check and replenish the first aid box contents, ensuring they are in date.
- Ensure signs inside the bus are properly attached and in good condition.
- Perform other duties as may be allocated from time to time.
- Comply with the relevant policies and procedures of the school.
- Undertake training appropriate to the post as required.
Essential Qualifications:
- Full, clean UK driving licence suitable for minibus driving.
- Willingness to undergo occupational medical assessment.
Desirable Qualifications:
- D1 category on driving licence, if not we will provide the necessary minibus training.
- Relevant transport or passenger safety training.
